Exam 1 will be given in two parts. Part 1 will be given on September 26, and will very closely resemble Sample Exam 1, Part 1.

Part 2 will be given on October 1, and will very closely resemble Sample Exam 1, Part 2.

Homework 3 is due at the beginning of class on September 12. This homework requires you to learn about a very complex topic and communicate it clearly. That is not easy, and I do not expect perfect answers. Just try your best.

Homework 4 is due by 9:00 PM on September 17.

Homework 2 is a medium homework, counting twice as much as a short homework, and is due September 5 at the beginning of class.

The deadline for the Creative Project: upload presentation to YouTube by 3:30 PM on November 5.

Today's Class

For now on I will ask for volunteers to begin the next class at the beginning of the current class.

All this week we will be learning how to manage and manipulate data, using important Excel function like IF and AND statements, creating attractive charts, and creating historical simulations. These exercises are designed to reinforce basic Excel tools that people use daily at work, and to refine our understanding of histograms and simulations.

First we will complete this worksheet which uses these data.
